Faculty are available for consultation during scheduled office hours via walk-in, telephone, or e-mail. Specific questions about course content, assignments, exams, and grading should be discussed directly with the instructor.
Generally materials distributed in class are available to distance learning students via the course management tool that the instructor uses for the class. If there are materials that need to be sent to you via e-mail or U.S. mail we will send them without charge as requested by the instructor.
In general, students registering for Distance learning credit courses are required to find and have an appropriate education officer (EO) proctor exams for each course. To determine if your course requires an EO, read the course description by clicking on the applicable course line from the comprehensive course list. An EO cannot be a student's relative, friend, coworker, or someone who works for the student. The EO address must be a business address.
Many work sites already have an EO, often a person in the training or human resources department. If your company does not have a designated EO, you may request your supervisor or your company training person to proctor your exams. Another option is to request a librarian or testing officer from a local library or community college respectively to serve as your EO. Bemis Public Library in Littleton, CO offers this free service.
For those able to come to campus, the Division of Continuing Education and Professional Studies provides free proctoring services. Contact continuing education at 303-492-5148 for more information.
If you have any questions regarding who qualifies to be an EO, contact CAETE. If you need to change your EO or update their information, please complete the EO Information Update form.
Completed exams should be sent by the EO only, directly to the instructor or TA. CAETE will return graded exams to students as requested by the instructor.
