Course Delivery and Access

  • Online [Details]
Lectures are recorded and made available via the Internet (for streaming and downloading). This is our primary delivery method for credit courses.
  • CD-ROM [Details]
Recorded lectures can be made available by special request for a fee (see below).
  • Campus Classroom
Courses are taught in the CAETE studio classrooms on campus unless otherwise noted in the course schedule. Distance students are welcome to attend class on campus provided space allows.

Distance Students
If you have extenuating circumstances which prevent you from downloading/streaming the course lectures, CDs will be provided for you at no additional cost. Otherwise there is a fee. Request media.

Main Campus Students
Main campus students may have access to course lectures online and on CD-ROM for a fee. Please note that payment (by check or credit card) must be submitted with the request before the request will be processed. Request media.

Library Courses
Library courses are delivered via the Internet for downloading and streaming. A few courses are available via DVDs only. Refer to the library course list for each course's available format. Courses that are available via the Internet can be made available in CD or DVD format for an additional fee.

Not-for-Credit Courses
Not-for-credit courses
are offered days, evenings, weekends, in the classroom, on site, or via the Internet. Not all courses are offered in every format. Refer to the short courses course schedule for delivery information for specific courses.

Lecture Access Online [Details]

Currently Tegrity only supports PCs and Internet Explorer. Apple computers, other operating systems and browsers are not supported at this time. Additional compatibility may be available in the future. Review additional requirements.

Access to lectures online is undergoing a process change. Beginning with the spring 2008 semester a new access procedure will be in place. If you experience difficulty accessing your lectures or have questions about the process, contact CUAhelp@Colorado.edu.

Courses delivered over the Internet via downloading or streaming protocols offer these benefits:

  • faster delivery (no shipping delays)
  • can be stored on your computer allowing viewing anywhere/anytime
  • an integrated format provides easier-to-read instructor notes than TV format
  • printable in PowerPoint and/or JPG formats
  • video indexing allows you to directly jump to video and slides during the lecture

Media Return [Details] [Help] [CD-ROM Info]
Media no longer needs to be returned to CAETE at the end of the semester (unless you are renting the media).
