Aerospace Engineering Sciences Masters Degree

Academic Excellence

Aerospace Engineering Sciences at CU-Boulder consistenly ranks in the top 15 among public graduate programs nationwide according to U.S. News and World Report. It was named a program of excellence by the Colorado Comission on Higher Education in 1997.

Outstanding Graduates

CU aerospace engineering alumni are part of a distinguished group of aerospace leaders, managers, and entrepreneurs. Many play key roles in the design of complex aerospace systems, establishing distinguished careers for themselves in both the public and private sections. CU-Bouler ranks among the top five U.S. universities (excluding military academies) in the number of astronaut alumni.

World-Class Research

Annual funding of more than $11 million supports individual aerospace engineering investigations and research. Experiments developed by CU-Boulder researchers have been strongly represented on NASA shuttles and other space missions. CU is home to four research centers: BioServe Space Technolgies, a leader in developing valuable life science applications; the Center for Aerospace Structures, which designs next-generation aerospace structures; the Colorado Center for Astrodynamics Research, which integrates satellite applications with the study of geophysical processes; and the Research and Engineering Center for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, a multidisciplinary center focused on technologies and applications of unmanned vehicle systems, including those that operate in the air, on land, in the sea, or in space.

Admission

The minimum admission requirements for both the ME and MS are a bachelor's degree in engineering (mathematics and certain sciences) from a regionally accredited institution, a grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.0, and GRE scores.
