ASEN 5307: Engineering Data Analysis Methods
Description
Study the basic tools of data analysis that every graduate student should have in their arsenal. Among the topics we will cover are basic statistics, curve fitting, regression analysis, fourier analysis, spectral analysis and power spectrums, signal processing, filter design, spatial data analysis, principal component analysis, and empirical orthogonal functions. We will develop these data analysis methods using Matlab, and apply them to a variety of data sets found in engineering and science.
